Monday 6th January Each-Way Double Bet !!!

On Monday we have seven race card from Wolverhampton with few interesting races. For today's each-way double bet I'm going concentrate on 3.10 & 4.10

3.10 WOLVERHAMPTON 9F 0-60 HANDICAP CLASS 6 :

The most interesting runner here looks to be the inform MINSTREL LAD  who has put in three solid efforts recently ,including winning over C&D at Wolverhampton back in November .Looked unlucky last time at Kempton when finishing third, getting squeezed out in closing stages .Looks fairly treated off just 1LB higher mark .

4.10 WOLVERHAMPTON 6F 0-70 FILLIES HANDICAP CLASS 5:

The Charles Hills trained BABS PRINCESS has some solid form over 6 furlongs ,including winning handicap at Goodwood in June off mark 65 .Returned to form last time finishing good third over C&D at Wolverhampton ,that form has been boosted with fourth horse Hannah's Turn bolting up in handicap at Southwell yesterday .Should go well in weaker looking race.

MINSTREL LAD: 3.10 WOLVERHAMPTON
(FOURTH SP 9-2JF)
BABS PRINCESS: 4.10 WOLVERHAMPTON
(SECOND SP 6-4F)

£25.00 EACH-WAY DOUBLE @ 7-2 & 7-4 BETVICTOR* & HILLS*

Monthly Results Round Up

Steady start with the each-way doubles with just three bets in January ,though with the bad weather finding suitable betting opportunities was always going to be difficult in January .

All three each-ways doubles finished placed for small profit on the month £25.60 / 0.25 pts .Not the biggest profit ,though with this type of bet, you need to show a lot patience and wait for right races to come along, and obviously the big profits come when both selections win .Hopefully there will be few more betting opportunities in February ,

THE RESULTS :

Saturday 26th January each-way double bet

On Saturday we have each-way double bet at Lingfield ,the two races are 8 furlong maiden at 12.20 & 12 furlong maiden at 12.50 .

The first leg of the double is 8 furlong maiden at 12.20 .SILVER DIXIE finished promising fourth last time in what looked decent maiden behind the useful El Buen Turista . That form looks very solid with Winner ,Third, Fifth & Sixth all winning races next time.Looks open to plenty improvement .Odds around 10-3 look very fair in this maiden.

The Michael Wigham trained St Georges Hill has been well supported this morning ,though the trainer is not usually known for first time out maiden winners.

Moving on to the second leg of the double .The 12 furlong maiden at 12.50 .HARLESTONE WOOD has finished second three times ,including over course & distance last time ,just getting touched off by Megastar .On official handicap ratings is 7LB clear and should be difficult to beat .In what looks weak maiden.

Wednesday 23nd January each-way double bet

On Wednesday we finally have each-way double bet the two races of interest are 1 mile claiming stakes at 1.00 and 1 mile 4 furlong maiden stakes at 2.00 Lingfield .

The first leg of the double the 1 mile claiming stakes at 1.00 . RED SOMERSET won five times in 2012, goes well in this grade and was an easy winner of 1 mile selling stakes on Monday at Wolverhampton.

Course specialist Paphos looks the danger after winning his last two starts at the track ,though this looks stronger race and has bit to find at the weights .

The second leg of the double the 1 mile 4 furlong maiden stakes at Lingfield .This looks weak maiden with three contenders .

LINKABLE returned to form last time finishing good second over course and distance in handicap behind Jacob Son .That form looks solid at this level with the winner Jacob Son having won three races at the track .Odds around 4-1 look very fair value in this weak looking maiden .

Viola de Gamba looks possible danger having been placed 8 times, and finished fair third in 1 mile 4 furlong handicap behind Kames Park last time at Wolverhampton , though at around 9-4 looks poor value for horse still a maiden after 19 starts .

Of the others Story Writer looks open to improvement after finishing second on debut in maiden at Wolverhampon ,though that looked very weak race with winner only rated 50 .

WEDNESDAY 23RD JANUARY EACH-WAY DOUBLE BET :
RED SOMERSET: 1.00 LINGFIELD
(RESULT :SECOND SP 7-4 )

Weekly Results Round Up

Quiet start for each-way doubles this week with just one bet on New Years Day .The place part of the bet coming in for small loss of £1.20

La Estrella won the 12 furlong claiming stakes at 1-6 & Myzamour finished second in mile selling stakes at 9-2  .

No complaints with the bet Myzamour ran solid enough  race in finishing second ,though was no match for the winner Walter White .With these each-way double bets there are going to be lot more placed horses than winners ,though obviously the big profits will come when both horses win .

The aim is for around 14% (1 in 7) strike rate on win part of the double and 60% on win and the place .Hopefully there will be few more betting opportunities next week.

THE RESULTS :

ON THE WEEK
1 BET ) 0 WINNER ) 1 PLACED ) 0 UNPLACED )

OVERALL AFTER WEEK ONE :
